The RYCK280 motorboat has been named the best boat for beginners at the 2022 BOB Awards, the global event that recognises the best boats in each category every year.
The award was established in 2014 in collaboration with boating journalists and publishers from various countries, all of whom have extensive experience as boat testers and a passion for and interest in the sector and the real needs of boaters.
This motorboat award, unique in its category worldwide, is held in Europe as a major event in the sector, given the number of participating countries, magazines and boat trials.
The Best of Boats Award focuses on the perspective of boaters, and the award categories are selected with real-world use cases in mind to assess and recognise the key aspects of the practical boating experience.
Hanse Yachts secured the award for the RYCK280, beating the other finalists, who also put in a strong performance.
In addition to the award, this model has garnered praise from industry experts, notably including the words of Julijan Višnjevec, editor-in-chief of the Slovenian magazine “Val Navtika”: “The new Ryck 280 marks the launch of a new generation of boats that are not only attractive but also highly capable on the water. That means outstanding seaworthiness, particularly in adverse conditions”.
